Looking for a talented and self-motivated technician. The ideal candidate demonstrates hands-on experience in all aspects of assembling our electro-optical device. This includes but is not limited to precision opto-mechanical assembly, Class 100 cleanroom protocols including microelectronics cleaning, handling & cleaning of optics, microscope-based inspection, precision dispense and cure of engineering epoxies, fluid micro-dispensing & fill, and high-value short shelf-life inventory management.
High-precision, low contamination assembly skills: Great dexterity, able to manipulate small, delicate parts, Class 100 & cleanliness protocol discipline
Experience performing in Class 100 & 1000 environment in full cleanroom attire
Ability to follow complex work instructions precisely as well as read & interpret engineering drawings
Proficient with standard office software tools (MS Office, email, networked files)
Meticulous work habits – experience keeping detailed and accurate notes
Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
5 + Years of practical hands-on experience in a related field
Associates Degree in Semiconductor, Optical, or related technology
Travel requirement up to 15%.
Experience with Liquid Crystal Cell or Panel Assembly
Component assembly with engineering epoxy: automated dispenser use & optimization, UV & thermal curing while maintaining dimensional tolerances
Experience with ultra-pure cleaning processes: ultrasonic cleaning, detergents, solvents, Type 1 DI water, minimal contamination drying (eg: Spin-Rinse Dry Machine)
Experience with spin deposition & curing of polymers
Experience with microscope inspections esp. automated scanning & characterization
Familiarity with optical & semiconductor films & coatings
Precision fluid dispensing experience: EG microfluidics, capillary fill, vacuum fill
Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment
Must be open to relocation to MA in order to qualify for this position.
Relocation package is negotiable.
